McIntosh RS250 - The perfect wireless speaker

The wireless speaker RS250 is Mcintosh's most advanced and powerful wireless speaker system for home use. The RS250 includes various built-in technologies for casting, such as Spotify® Connect, TIDAL® Connect, Apple® AirPlay® 2, Bluetooth®, Chromecast and Roon, making it easy to stream your favorite music from your favorite streaming apps on your smart devices. You don't need to download a dedicated control app to use the RS250.

The RS250 uses Bluetooth 5.0 with support for Advanced Audio Coding (AAC) and Qualcomm® aptX™ HD for hi-res audio playback, as well as Qualcomm aptX Low Latency for improved audio transmission speed. The system delivers a total power of 650 watts, which is distributed to two 4” x 6” bass units, four 2” (50mm) mid-range units and two 3/4” (20mm) treble units.

The woofer cabinet has been reconstructed to reduce distortion, and a more user-friendly bass control has been added that can be fine-tuned for optimal sound performance. In addition, there is also a connection for a wired subwoofer. The system also includes a pair of new, fast-response digital output meters.

The RS250 is compatible with TIDAL HiFi Lossless Quality playback and supports file streaming up to 24-bit/192kHz. It is also a Roon Ready endpoint device and is Google Assistant compatible. Additionally, the RS250 includes an HDMI Audio Return Channel (ARC) input for better TV sound than soundbars can deliver, optical input, Moving Magnet phono input, a 3.5mm AUX input and a 1/4” headphone jack.
