REL Carbon Special is a serious high-end subwoofer developed for both uncompromising stereo systems and home theaters. The model sits between REL's S series and the absolute Reference models, combining tremendous impact with the speed and precision REL is known for.

The Carbon Special features a 12\" CarbonAlloy bass driver developed with inspiration from REL's Reference series. The active unit is supplemented by a 12\" passive radiator, which helps the subwoofer deliver deep and powerful bass without the use of a traditional bass reflex port.

The built-in NextGen5 Class D amplifier delivers 1,000 watts RMS, giving the Carbon Special plenty of headroom – even when moving large amounts of air. At the same time, the focus is not only on raw power. REL has worked purposefully with speed, timing, and integration with the main speakers, so the subwoofer also performs convincingly in a serious 2-channel setup.

Here you get no fewer than two Carbon Specials, opening the possibility of a true stereo subwoofer setup. With one subwoofer for each channel, you can achieve more even bass reproduction in the room and even better integration with the main speakers.
