Elex MK4 offers new connectivity options with a high-performance Rega DAC, giving you two digital inputs and a high-quality headphone output, conveniently placed on the front panel. This lets you listen to music through your streamer, turntable, CD player, headphones, or TV. Whatever you want, Elex MK4 gives you the option to do it.

The amplifier is capable of driving even difficult speakers with ease, and it fits perfectly into any system thanks to its many connection options. In addition to line-level and digital inputs, you will also find a Moving Magnet phono preamp as well as Pre-out and Record Out functions, allowing you to connect and record from external devices.

Designed with quality components and a formidable phono preamp

Rega Elex MK4 is designed with a special focus on key components and uses only the finest materials. Well-thought-out circuitry, high-quality relays, polypropylene capacitors, and Sanken output transistors are used throughout the design to ensure the best sound quality. To achieve the best performance, Rega has chosen to rebuild and optimize the entire circuit in the MK4. The digital and analogue sections are galvanically isolated and powered by a quiet multi-stage linear power supply.

Elex MK4 also includes a high-performance Moving Magnet (MM) phono preamp, carefully built into the circuit. The phono stage is divided into two stages to minimize interaction. Polyester capacitors are used in the signal paths, and polypropylene capacitors are used in the phono circuits. This means you get a phono preamp that is virtually unheard of at this price point, and that is the perfect match for Rega’s own Planar 3 and Planar 6 turntables. Whatever your preferred source and music may be, Elex-R deserves a listen, because it really is that good.

A reliable amplifier with headphone output

Finally, Rega has taken great care to incorporate the headphone jack on the Elex MK4. It is configured so that speaker switching is handled by the output mute relay to avoid interference in the signal circuit and ensure that there is no loss of performance when it is not in use. Rega Elex MK4 is also equipped with several protection features, including thermal overheating protection, short-circuit protection, and DC protection to avoid the risk of damage due to overheating, excessive direct current, or short circuits.
