Aethos builds on the experience gained from the Rega Elex-R and Rega Elicit-R, but has been developed with an even more ambitious design. The entire signal path is optimized with a focus on short signal paths, low noise, and high component quality, so the analog reproduction is preserved throughout the amplifier.

The discrete Class A preamplifier uses FET transistors and is designed to preserve the music’s natural dynamics, detail, and nuance throughout the entire amplifier circuit.

Power with full control

The output stage is built with eight Sanken Darlington power transistors, working together with a specially developed toroidal transformer and separate power supplies for the most sensitive circuits.

This gives the Rega Aethos impressive power reserves and controlled reproduction that remains composed—even when the music places great demands on the amplifier.

Dual mono design

Rega has chosen a dual mono-like design in which the left and right channels are separated as much as possible. Together with the regulated power supplies, this reduces internal interference between the channels, contributing to stable, precise, and well-defined stereo reproduction.

The result is a soundstage with convincing depth, width, and coherence, where instruments and voices are placed naturally in the room.

Thoughtful details

Rega Aethos is equipped with five line inputs, Pre Out, and Record Out, making it easy to integrate into both simple and more advanced hi-fi systems.

The dedicated headphone output is designed so that the speakers are disconnected via a relay without adding extra components to the signal path. This preserves the integrity of the analog signal whether you listen through headphones or speakers.
