Quintet Red has an elliptical diamond stylus and is designed to deliver an open and dynamic sound reproduction with a slight touch of warmth. This makes it an interesting choice whether you enjoy acoustic music, jazz, or larger orchestral recordings.

Together with the precise 9" tonearm in carbon fiber and aluminum, the cartridge has excellent working conditions to track the record groove and reproduce the fine nuances of the music.

True Balanced Connection – less noise, more music

One of the major advantages of the Pro-Ject X2 B is the ability to use balanced signal transmission between the turntable and the RIAA amplifier.

True Balanced Connection is designed to reduce electrical noise and interference that could otherwise affect the weak signal from the cartridge. This provides a good foundation for quieter and more detailed playback.

The turntable has both a standard RCA output and a balanced 5-pin mini-XLR. You can therefore use it with a traditional MC-compatible RIAA amplifier or take advantage of the balanced connection with a separate balanced phono cable and a compatible RIAA amplifier.

Solid construction and elegant walnut finish
