PRE60 and A60 were created for the serious hi-fi enthusiast, and even though the set has a few years behind it, it is still a highly capable amplifier combination. Especially on the analog side, you get a great deal of high-end performance for the money.

The Primare PRE60 is a fully balanced preamplifier, while the powerful A60 power amplifier delivers 2 x 250 watts into 8 ohms. Together they provide plenty of headroom and control, and can drive even demanding speakers with great authority.

It is worth noting that the digital section in the PRE60 has gradually been overtaken by developments. Streaming and digital features have moved on significantly since the PRE60 was launched, and if you want the latest streaming options and features, we would recommend pairing the set with a modern streamer/DAC.

That does not, however, change the qualities of the amplifier section itself. If you use the PRE60 as an analog preamplifier and the A60 as a power amplifier, you get a very serious Primare set that originally sat right at the top of the manufacturer's range.
