Naim NAP 250 – used

We have received a used Naim NAP 250 power amplifier for sale – a true Naim classic and a model that for many years was among the most important power amplifiers in Naim's Classic series.

The NAP 250 is for those who want the characteristic Naim sound with plenty of energy, rhythm, and dynamics. It delivers 2 × 80 watts into 8 ohms, but as is often the case with Naim, the watt rating tells only part of the story. The solid power supply and well-engineered construction give the NAP 250 a firm grip on the speakers and an authority that makes it well suited to serious hi-fi systems.

Sonic-wise, there is plenty of the classic Naim character. The music is presented quickly, directly, and engagingly, with a focus on timing and coherence. Compared with the smaller power amplifiers in the series, you also get more headroom and control when the music becomes demanding.

This is the version before the NAP 250 DR. Although it was later succeeded by the DR model, the original NAP 250 from this generation remains a sought-after amplifier on the used market – and an interesting opportunity to build a classic Naim system at an attractive price.
