Naim NAC 252 / SuperCap DR - used

We have received a used Naim NAC 252 / SuperCap DR set for sale - a serious high-end preamplifier solution from Naim's classic series and a major step up in the hierarchy from, for example, the NAC 282.

The NAC 252 builds on the ideas of the legendary NAC 52 and was developed with one clear goal: to keep noise and unwanted interference as far away from the sensitive audio signal as possible. That is why the NAC 252 has no traditional internal power supply, but is designed to be powered by a separate SuperCap.

The SuperCap DR is included here. The DR version uses Naim's Discrete Regulator technology and gives the NAC 252 the dedicated power supply it was developed for. The combination provides the various audio circuits with separate, regulated power supplies while also keeping the power supply physically separated from the preamplifier itself.

Sound-wise, the NAC 252 / SuperCap DR is made for a high-level system where the preamplifier should not get in the way of the source. You get Naim's well-known focus on timing, dynamics, and musical coherence, but with a level of calm, control, and resolution that places this set high in the classic Naim series.

The NAC 252 has six analog inputs, including both DIN and RCA connections, and can be integrated into a pure Naim system as well as used with other analog sources. The combination with SuperCap DR makes the set an obvious match with, for example, the NAP 250, NAP 250 DR, or NAP 300 DR.

In short, this is an opportunity to get one of the classic Naim preamplifier solutions, where the NAC 252 and SuperCap DR are designed to work together as one complete system.
