An icon in improved form

Everything that made the original 99 Classics a classic is retained: the warm and inviting Meze sound, the timeless design and the exceptional comfort. But beneath the surface there is much new. The internal acoustic geometry has been reworked, the cabinet volume has been increased, the baffle design is more transparent and all joints have been improved to ensure more consistent performance from pair to pair.

Increased volume in the ear cups

The larger internal volume lowers internal resonances and provides more control in the bass. At the same time, standing waves are reduced, which improves clarity and definition throughout the lower register.

New baffle architecture

The redesigned baffle is more open and airy. Reducing diffraction and acoustic resistance in front of the driver reduces high-frequency artifacts and provides a cleaner, more natural sound.

Redesigned ear cushions for better sound and comfort

The ear cushions have been reshaped to increase front cavity volume and adjust midrange balance. The clip-on mechanism replaces the previous stretch-skirt solution, ensuring perfect directionality, consistent performance and easier replacement.

Materials with character – no two pairs are the same

Each set of 99 Classics is unique. The natural variations in color, texture and grain of walnut wood mean that no two ear cups are identical. The wood is slowly air-dried to preserve its natural properties, then each cup is CNC-milled and hand-finished in a process that takes 45 days.

This results in headphones that are as aesthetically unique as their owner.

Comfort developed over a decade

The self-adjusting vegan leather headband and flexible spring steel frame make the 99 Classics renowned for their comfort. The ear cups rest naturally with no pressure points, and the weight is distributed so evenly that they can be worn for hours without fatigue.
