LS50 Wireless II introduces the 12th generation of KEF’s unique and patented Uni-Q driver, which has been improved in several ways through KEF’s Metamaterial Absorption Technology (MAT), which won What-Hi-Fi's 'Innovation of the year' award in 2020.

MAT is a complex labyrinth-like structure with different sizes and lengths that is capable of absorbing specific frequency ranges, creating an “acoustic black hole.” KEF has placed the technology behind the tweeter, enabling it to absorb as much as 99% of the unwanted sound from the rear of the driver. The result is that distortion is eliminated so the pure and natural sound can be maximized. It is this kind of innovation that we have come to know and love KEF for.

Powerful amplifier with a full 760 watts

Inside the speakers you will find an incredibly powerful set of integrated amplifiers that help ensure the sound is as precise, rhythmic, and tight as it is. KEF has upgraded the amplifiers so that each speaker has a 280-watt class-D amplifier for the low-frequency range and a 100-watt class-A/B amplifier for the high-frequency range. This delivers an incredible 760 watts per system, along with bass and midrange that can fill the entire room, combined with fantastically detailed treble and a refined, controlled bass/midrange.
