KECES IQRP-3600 – isolated power filter for the large hi-fi system
KECES IQRP-3600 is for those who have a larger hi-fi system with both sensitive source components and electronics with high power demands – and who would like to gather the power supply in one isolated solution. With three separate power zones and a total capacity of 3,600 VA, there is significantly more to work with than in the smaller IQRP models. Two zones are dimensioned for components with moderate power requirements, while the third alone can deliver up to 3,000 VA.
This makes the IQRP-3600 interesting in a system where, for example, a streamer, DAC and preamplifier need to be powered separately from a powerful power amplifier or integrated amplifier. At the same time, KECES has worked with isolation, low output impedance, as well as its own power outlets and feet, so the IQRP-3600 is intended as an integrated part of the system – not just as a power strip.

Three zones provide room for both sources and powerful amplification
What we especially think makes the IQRP-3600 interesting is the marked difference between the three power zones. At 220-250 volts, Zone I and II can each deliver up to 1.25 A or 300 VA, while Zone III can deliver a full 12.5 A or 3,000 VA. This makes it possible to keep less power-hungry components on their own zones and reserve the large third zone for electronics with significantly higher power demands. It is a more targeted way to build the power distribution than simply connecting the entire hi-fi system to the same power strip. Naturally, it is important to check the power consumption of each individual component and keep the load within the stated capacity.
Isolation before the signal path even begins
The heart of the KECES IQRP-3600 is the manufacturer’s newly developed isolation transformer, which is designed to separate the output sections for different types of electronics. The purpose is to create an isolated power platform between the mains and the connected components. At the same time, KECES states an output impedance of less than 0.008 ohm and a typical output THD of less than 0.3 %. This makes the power filter relevant when you have already spent time choosing speakers, amplifiers and sources and want to continue working with the electrical conditions the entire system starts with. The IQRP-3600 does not change the way you use the system – it works before the actual music signal comes into play.
Built for a system with high power demands
KECES has also implemented its Quantum Resonance Technology, which the manufacturer describes as a subtle field intended to make electromechanical components resonate more uniformly with a view to timing and coherence. Both the power outlets and the cone-shaped audio-grade feet are developed in-house by KECES. Everything is housed in an aluminum chassis measuring 430 × 340 × 133 mm, and the substantial net weight of 28 kg says something about the type of power product we are dealing with. To us, the IQRP-3600 makes the most sense when a larger hi-fi system needs both separate power zones for the source components and sufficient capacity for a power-hungry amplifier – all gathered in one isolated power platform.
