KECES IQRP-1500 – isolated power filter for the more power-hungry hi-fi system
KECES IQRP-1500 is for those with a larger hi-fi system who want to work more purposefully with the power supply for both source components and more power-demanding electronics. Where the smaller IQRP-800 has a total capacity of 800 VA, the IQRP-1500 delivers 1,500 VA divided across two separate power zones.
This makes it interesting if, for example, you want to keep sensitive source components on one zone and give a more powerful amplifier its own power section. KECES has built the power filter around a newly developed isolation transformer and combined it with low output impedance, its own audio-grade power outlets, and Quantum Resonance Technology. The purpose is not to add more functions to your system, but to give the components you have already chosen an isolated and stable power platform to work from.

Two power zones for different tasks
What we especially find makes sense about the KECES IQRP-1500 is the distribution of the available power. At 220-250 volts, Zone I can deliver up to 1.25 A or 300 VA, while Zone II can deliver up to 5 A or 1,200 VA. This makes it possible to factor power distribution into the very structure of the hi-fi system. The smaller zone can, for example, be used for compatible source components, while the large zone provides significantly more capacity for electronics with higher power consumption. So you do not simply get more power outlets, but two separate power sections developed for different loads. Naturally, it is important that the total power consumption and the load on each individual zone always remain within the limits specified by KECES.
Isolation between the mains and your hi-fi system
The heart of the IQRP-1500 is KECES' isolation transformer, where the output sections are separated for different types of connected equipment. The purpose of the isolation transformer is to create galvanic isolation between the mains and the connected components. At the same time, KECES states an output impedance of less than 0.008 ohm and a typical output THD of less than 0.3 %. For us, this type of power filter is especially interesting when the rest of the hi-fi system has already been put together with care and you want to continue working on the electrical conditions around it. The IQRP-1500 is neither a new audio source nor a signal processor – its task comes before the entire signal path.
Built as part of the hi-fi system
KECES has also worked on the mechanical parts of the IQRP-1500. Both the audio-grade power outlets used and the cone-shaped feet have been developed in-house, while the cabinet is made of aluminum. The model also uses KECES' Quantum Resonance Technology, which the manufacturer describes as a subtle field developed to make electromechanical components resonate more uniformly with a view to timing and coherence. With dimensions of 300 × 279 × 133 mm and a net weight of 14.5 kg, the IQRP-1500 is built as a true hi-fi component rather than a traditional power strip. For us, it especially makes sense in a system where the power demands have become too great for the IQRP-800, or where greater capacity is needed for amplifiers and other components from the same isolated power platform.
