IsoAcoustics GAIA II / III – thread adapters for speakers

IsoAcoustics GAIA II / III Threads are thread adapters for those who need to mount GAIA II or GAIA III feet on their speakers. They are relevant when the speaker's thread does not match the adapters included with the GAIA feet. With the right variant, you can connect the speaker's existing thread to the foot.

The adapters are sold in sets of four and are available in several thread sizes and lengths. One set is enough for one speaker with four mounting points. For a pair of speakers with four feet on each, you need two sets. GAIA II and GAIA III isolation feet are not included.

Choose the right IsoAcoustics GAIA II / III Threads

The thread diameter is only part of the choice. The thread pitch must also match the speaker. M8-1.25 means, for example, 8 mm in diameter and a thread pitch of 1.25 mm. M8-1.0 has the same diameter, but a different thread pitch. It is therefore not enough to know that the speaker uses M8 - the full thread designation must match.

For imperial threads, the last number indicates the number of threads per inch. The designation ¼″-20 therefore refers to a diameter of ¼ inch and 20 threads per inch. Always check the full thread designation before choosing an adapter.

The length must also match the installation

GAIA II / III Threads are available in different lengths, and selected thread sizes are offered as longer Long versions. Two adapters can therefore have the same diameter and thread pitch, but different lengths.

So do not choose based on the thread type alone. Also check which adapter length your speaker requires. The designation Long does not necessarily refer to one shared length across the variants, so always use the dimensions of the specific adapter as your reference.

How to install the thread adapters

Each adapter has two ends: one screws into the bottom of the speaker, and the other into the GAIA foot. During installation, the lock nuts are used to secure the connection between the speaker, adapter, and isolation foot.

Check the speaker model's thread dimensions before ordering. If the thread size is unclear, you can also check the specifications from the speaker manufacturer or use the thread on one of the speaker's existing spikes or feet as a reference.
