Ediscreation Low Noise Linear Power Supply is for those who have a DAC, network switch, router, NAS, external hard drive, or other compatible equipment with an external DC power supply and want to give the power supply more attention. Many of these products are supplied with a standard switch-mode adapter, whereas Ediscreation has chosen a linear power supply here with a discrete circuit design, 20,000 µF capacitor capacity, and a custom-made grounded isolation transformer. It is a relatively simple way to continue working on the power supply for a component you already like, without having to change the rest of the system.

What we like about Ediscreation’s Low Noise Linear Power Supply is that it comes in several versions for different power requirements. You can choose between 12V 6A and 12V 10A, both of which are available in Standard, Standard with Bybee Quantum Purifiers, and Extreme with Bybee Quantum Purifiers. In addition, there is a Double Voltage version with 5V 6A and 12V 6A.

Discrete regulation and 20,000 µF power reserve

Internally, the power supply uses a discrete circuit design. Ediscreation highlights the construction with a focus on low noise, fast response, higher current capacity, and less heat. Added to this are 20,000 µF capacitor capacity and a custom-made grounded isolation transformer.

The manufacturer states ripple and noise at 0.02 mVrms measured from 20 Hz to 20 MHz. The Low Noise LPS also has two outputs. The goal of the design is to reduce noise and ripple and provide the connected equipment with a stable power supply.

Standard, Bybee, or Extreme

Ediscreation Low Noise LPS is available in three versions: Standard, Standard with Bybee Quantum Purifiers, and Extreme with Bybee Quantum Purifiers. This makes it possible to choose based on both the component’s power requirements and the desired version of the power supply.
