Developed for digital music systems
Silent Switch OCXO II Extreme is designed for systems with music servers, streamers, and DACs, where the network connection is an integrated part of the playback chain.
The design works specifically to reduce electrical noise and create stable signal conditions, allowing the connected devices to operate under optimal conditions.
OCXO clock focused on precise timing
At the core of Silent Switch OCXO II Extreme is an OCXO clock (Oven Controlled Crystal Oscillator), developed to deliver high frequency stability and very low jitter.
The purpose is to create more precise timing conditions in the network signal and minimize variations in signal processing. The stable clock serves as a reference for the switch’s internal circuits and contributes to consistent operating conditions throughout the entire network chain.
Synchronize Clock Bus technology
Silent Switch OCXO II Extreme can be connected directly to the Ediscreation Fiberbox III via the manufacturer’s Synchronize Clock Bus technology.
By synchronizing the clock signal between the devices, timing deviations are reduced and the signals are processed under more uniform conditions. This creates a more coherent network environment, where data transfer can take place with high precision.
Advanced low-noise power supply
The Extreme version uses a multi-stage linear power supply, with the clock, network circuits, and SFP modules powered individually.
The design includes, among other things, an audio-grade toroidal transformer, Furutech FI-06 NCF IEC inlet, Audio Note capacitors, Mundorf capacitors, and internal UPOCC conductors. The goal is to create stable operating conditions and minimize noise interference between the different circuits.
Ground Isolation and independent SFP modules
The integrated Ground Isolation Switch is developed to limit the impact of ground noise, which can arise via routers and other network devices.
At the same time, the independent SFP modules use physically separated signal paths, supporting a more controlled network connection between the connected components.
Built with a focus on mechanical stability
The enclosure is made of CNC-machined aluminum combined with a copper construction and vibration-damping Ripple Base feet.
The integrated cooling elements contribute both to temperature control and shielding of the internal circuits. The result is a mechanically stable platform that supports the switch’s technical design.
A natural complement to streamers and music servers
Ediscreation Silent Switch OCXO II Extreme is developed for users who want to optimize the network section of their digital music system. Together with music servers, DACs, streamers, and fiber-based network solutions, it functions as a central link in the streaming chain and creates stable conditions for digital music playback.
