Line Array Bass – fast, deep, and precise bass reproduction

The R 10 Arreté uses a unique rear-facing line source bass system consisting of eight 5” long-throw bass drivers with ±12 mm linear excursion – together equivalent to a 15” woofer. The result is lightning-fast and controlled bass that is distributed evenly throughout the room. Two 6.5” front-facing bass/midrange drivers add extra precision and create a soundstage that is both wide and deep.

Droplet-shaped cabinet – no standing waves

The elegant droplet-shaped design eliminates internal standing waves and minimizes the need for damping material, which can inhibit dynamics. The cabinet is made from vacuum-formed HDF with extensive internal bracing, while the 6061 aluminum front baffle reduces vibrations to an absolute minimum.

Double SEC AMT tweeter – extreme speed and resolution

The R 10 Arreté is equipped with two specially designed Audiovector Air Motion Transformer tweeters. The primary covers the range from 3,000 to 53,000 Hz, while the secondary operates from 20,000 to 53,000 Hz. The pleated mylar diaphragms, reinforced with aluminum, are driven by powerful neodymium magnets, delivering treble reproduction with outstanding detail, precision, and a holographic sense of space.

AFC midrange – revolutionary control and realism

The midrange is handled by Audiovector's Accelerated Force Concept, which accelerates the diaphragm's initial movement for better transient response and microdynamics. Carbon fiber/natural resin sandwich diaphragms are combined with titanium voice coils and precision-optimized magnet systems to deliver an open, detailed, and three-dimensional soundstage.

Reference-quality crossover

The crossover is hand-built with double cryogenically treated capacitors, distortion-optimized copper coils in a Dynamic Feed Forward layout, and Audiovector X Duelund bypass capacitors for maximum treble clarity. The resistors are precision film types to ensure smooth and natural reproduction.
