Audiovector QR 3 SE - compact floorstanding speaker with big and dynamic sound

Audiovector QR 3 SE is for those who want a slim and elegant floorstanding speaker with big sound, deep bass, and musical headroom. Audiovector QR 3 SE with even more finesse

Audiovector has further developed the QR series with improvements to both electrical components, damping, and the bass reflex system.

The crossover has been fitted with specially developed, double cryogenically treated capacitors. The internal wiring consists of cryogenically treated copper, while the Nanopore material contributes to the damping inside the cabinet.

According to Audiovector, the upgrades provide a more open, dynamic, and detailed reproduction. This makes the SE version interesting if you already know the original QR 3 and want even more precision and finesse. 

Gold Leaf tweeter with air and detail

QR 3 SE uses Audiovector's Gold Leaf Air Motion Tweeter. The AMT tweeter's light, folded diaphragm is designed to reproduce the high frequencies with fast response and fine detail.

In front of the diaphragm is a gold-plated grille, which also functions as the S-Stop filter. It helps control unwanted sibilance and supports the interplay between treble and midrange.

It contributes to an open and pleasant reproduction, where the music's small details have room without dominating the whole. 

Pure Piston drivers with powerful bass

The Pure Piston Dual Magnet drivers use a sandwich diaphragm with two aluminum layers and a light, damping layer in between. The construction combines high rigidity with internal damping, allowing the diaphragms to move precisely throughout their operating range.

This provides good conditions for dynamic bass and clear reproduction of voices and instruments. 

For us, the combination of fullness and detail is one of QR 3 SE’s great strengths. You get a slim floor-standing speaker that gives the music weight and energy without letting the bass take over the experience. 

Well-thought-out cabinet with advanced damping

Audiovector has emphasized a solid cabinet with internal bracing that limits unwanted vibrations. The nanopore damping is placed with a focus on a more open midrange reproduction.

At the same time, the SE version has been given an optimized bass reflex system, which according to Audiovector gives the bass more punch without compromising precision.

QR 3 SE is also equipped with stainless steel spikes and knurled adjustment nuts, which make it easier to fine-tune the speaker's placement.
