Mainz8 D3 is the third generation of Ansuz's revolutionary Power Distributors. Compared to the C3, you get almost 4 times as many Ansuz active Cable coils, and you can hear it. The difference is the same as every time you take a step up the Ansuz series - you simply get more of everything. With the Mainz8 D3, the sound quality is taken to completely new heights, and it is both natural, three-dimensional and open. The details are clearer, you get closer to the artist and it is easier to feel what they are trying to convey. Technologies and Components
Clean power supply.
The Ansuz Mainz8 power distributors have been designed with the goal of providing a very clean power supply to all Hi-Fi components of your audio system. This is mainly achieved by applying Ansuz's groundbreaking advancements in noise reduction and resonance control. Equipped with Ansuz's most advanced audio technologies, Mainz8 power distributors provide the lowest grounding impedance, which ensures that almost no noise is transferred from the power distributor to the individual power cables that feed the hi-fi components.
Natural-based composite cabinet material
The cabinet design is an important Ansuz characteristic and is designed to eliminate sonic distortion. The disturbing sonic influence, which emanates from the material the cabinet is made of – mostly aluminum – results from its mechanical resonance. To eliminate this sonic distortion, the challenge was to minimize the use of aluminum in the cabinet. Ansuz's sister company Aavik began testing various materials and designed an innovative natural-based composite material, which reduces the mechanical influence, particularly the hysteresis. The sonic result is distinctly audible and reflects a further prominent cornerstone in Ansuz's quest for the ultimate music experience.
Ansuz Star ground technology
Exemplary electrical grounding.
Voltage also carries disturbing noise, which has a negative impact on the electronics of audio components. Ansuz Star ground technology prevents this disturbing noise from 'bleeding' into the electronics of all audio components connected to the power distributor. Ansuz Star Ground technology is built around a precisely defined area within the power distributor (star point) boasting the lowest possible grounding impedance. It ensures that no voltage is transferred from the power distributor to the power cables of the individual audio components. Since this star point has the best ground impedance, all sockets in the power distributor are grounded from here. The system can be further optimized by the use of Ansuz Mainz Power cables. They complement the power distributor with a strong grounding conductor as well as various shielding and noise suppressing technologies.
The Tesla coil principle
The key operating principle of the Ansuz Tesla coil is to have two coils wound in opposite directions – one coil and one counter coil. In Ansuz's words, this is called "A double inverted coil". The two coils both carry voltage, and when one of the Tesla coils encounters a voltage spike, a counter spike is activated to eliminate the noise. Since noise spikes are pure voltage carrying virtually no charge, the cancellation is quite good, but not perfect. Adding more Tesla coils in parallel increases the noise cancellation and the perceived blackness in the music increases significantly along with the purity and clarity of the sound. Ansuz uses various types of Tesla coils, as their individual properties ideally complement and reinforce each other.

Minimized Impedance.
The active Tesla coils are current fed, which ensures a much lower impedance and thus, a much better ability to eliminate noise. The active version is about three to four times more efficient than passive Tesla coils.
Analog dither technology 3rd generation
A 3rd generation of the Ansuz analog dither technology has been developed. Analog dither technology originated in radar, where it ensured a stronger signal and thus greater range. The active Tesla coils send pulsating signals at precisely defined frequencies. These signals are sent in anti-phase. This significantly amplifies the musical signal and eliminates the background noise floor.
Analysis and studies have led to new options – and a lot of listening has resulted in this 3rd generation design which is a further optimization of the most effective frequencies which opens the soundscape even more and with the tiniest details when it comes to reproduction of the recordings .
Active zirconium Tesla coil
Based on Ansuz's general curiosity about the properties of different materials, Ansuz has implemented a zirconium bar in their anti aerial resonance coil design. This is another impressive upgrade to the Ansuz anti aerial resonance coil technology.
The properties of this zirconium bar allow for unprecedented resonance control resulting in outstanding musical refinement that creates a natural soundstage, unrivaled in its purity, precision and attention to musical detail.
Active cable Tesla coil
Active anti-aircraft protection.
The active cable Tesla coil is wound directly on the outer part of the cable and protects the signal from absorbing the airborne RF noise. This noise is absorbed in the Tesla coil. The active version is about three to four times more efficient than the Passive cable Tesla coil.
