Aavik U-588 is the flagship model in the Unity series and combines a streamer, DAC, preamplifier, and power amplifier in one high-end solution. The streaming amplifier is built on technology from Aavik's reference products in the 880 series and is developed with a focus on low noise, precise control, and natural music reproduction.

Aavik U-588 combines power and control
U-588 uses Pascal Class D amplification with fast UMAC modulation. The technology is developed to reduce noise and give the amplifier precise control over the speakers across the entire frequency range.
The high power also provides substantial dynamic headroom. The music can unfold with energy and clear contrasts, while small details and nuances remain easy to follow.
Streamer, DAC, and amplifier in the same solution
Streaming, digital-to-analog conversion, and amplification are gathered in the same chassis. This provides a short signal path and reduces the need for several separate hi-fi components.
The Aavik U-588 can therefore function as the centerpiece in a simple high-end setup, where the core functions for digital music playback and amplification are integrated into a single component.
Extensive noise control
A key element in the U-588 is its work with electrical noise. The amplifier uses 108 active Tesla coils, 216 active square Tesla coils, and 9 analog dither circuits.
The technologies work across the circuit with the aim of lowering the noise level and creating better operating conditions for the music signal. This contributes to greater clarity, better separation, and more focused reproduction.
Analog dither makes room for the small nuances
U-588 uses the third generation of Aavik's analog dither technology. The technology works with the noise floor and the coherence of the signal, allowing details and small variations in the recording to stand out more clearly.
At the same time, transients are reproduced quickly and naturally. This supports the experience of dynamics, timing, and life in the music without making the presentation unnecessarily forward.
Protection against RF noise
The 8 anti aerial resonance coils are developed to reduce the impact of airborne RF noise in the surroundings.
This is especially relevant in modern homes, where wireless networks and other electronic devices can create electromagnetic noise. The goal is to provide the electronics with more stable operating conditions and preserve a clean music signal.
