Aavik U-288 - Streaming amplifier with high power, DAC, and advanced noise control

Aavik U-288 combines a streamer, DAC, preamplifier, and power amplifier in one solution. It builds on the technology from the U-188, but uses even more advanced noise reduction and greater headroom in reproduction. The result is an amplifier that plays with both power, calm, and an impressive sense of presence.

Power and control in the same solution

U-288 uses the latest Pascal amplification and fast UMAC modulation. This provides high efficiency, low noise, and better control over the speakers.

The music is reproduced with energy and headroom, but without losing calm or balance. Dynamic swings come quickly and freely, while small details still stand out clearly.

Streaming and DAC in one place

The built-in streamer provides direct access to high-resolution music via, among other things, TIDAL Connect. DAC, streaming, and amplification work closely together and keep the signal path short and stable.

This provides a more coherent reproduction and makes the system easy to use in everyday life.

Noise reduction as part of the design

U-288 uses Tesla coils, square Tesla coils, and analog dither technology to reduce electrical noise throughout the entire circuit.

The result is a darker background, better focus, and a soundstage with more depth and air between the instruments.

Protection against RF noise

Anti aerial resonance coils help limit RF noise from the surroundings. Cables and electronics are less affected by wireless signals and interference, which helps the music stand more freely in the room.

This provides a calmer and more undisturbed reproduction.

Lively sound with fast response

U-288 responds quickly to transients and dynamic shifts in the music. This gives drums, piano, and string instruments more energy and makes the reproduction more lively and engaging.

The music feels more direct, and the nuances in the recording become easier to follow.
