Aavik U-188 - Streaming amplifier with DAC, high power and advanced noise control
Aavik U-188 combines a streamer, DAC, preamplifier and power amplifier in one elegant solution. It is designed for those who want a simple high-end setup with high power, modern streaming and Aavik's extensive noise control technology.
With 2 x 300 watts, Pascal Class D amplification and UMAC modulation, the Aavik U-188 has plenty of headroom for the music experience. At the same time, a range of Tesla coils, analog dither circuits and anti aerial resonance coils work with noise control throughout the design.

Power and musicality in the same solution
Aavik U-188 uses Pascal Class D amplification with fast UMAC modulation. The combination delivers high power in an integrated design where the streamer, DAC, preamplifier and power stage are gathered in the same unit.
The result is a simple high-end setup with 2 x 300 watts available and fewer separate components in the system.
Streamer, DAC and amplifier gathered in one place
U-188 makes it possible to gather a large part of your hi-fi system in one component. Streaming, digital-to-analog conversion, preamplification and power amplification are integrated into the same design.
This provides a simple and elegant setup with fewer separate units – without lowering the ambitions for the overall music experience.
Extensive noise control technology
Noise control is a central part of the design of the Aavik U-188. The amplifier is equipped with 36 active Tesla coils and as many as 72 active square Tesla coils.
In addition, there are three analog dither circuits. The technologies are an integrated part of Aavik's work to control electrical noise in the design and create optimal working conditions for the music signal.
Protection against RF noise
Aavik U-188 also uses four anti aerial resonance coils. They have been developed with a focus on the influence of high-frequency noise and are part of the amplifier's design together with the other noise-controlling technologies.
The extensive focus on noise control is therefore not limited to a single technology, but is repeated in several places in the U-188.
Designed by Flemming Erik Rasmussen and Michael Børresen
Behind the Aavik U-188 are Flemming Erik Rasmussen and Michael Børresen. Here, the technology is combined with an elegant and distinctive design that fits naturally into a modern high-end hi-fi system.
The result is a streaming amplifier for those who want high power, integrated streaming and DAC, as well as Aavik's extensive noise control, all gathered in one solution.
