Aavik P-588 - Power amplifier with high power, low noise, and unrivaled control
Aavik P-588 builds on the technology from the P-880 and combines high power with calm and controlled reproduction. It works quickly, keeps noise down, and maintains control over even demanding speakers. The result is a power amplifier that reproduces music with energy, balance, and precision.
P-588 is developed for systems where dynamics and detail must work naturally together – without the sound losing calm or focus.

Fast and precise amplification
P-588 uses the latest Pascal Class D technology and improved UMAC modulation. This provides faster signal processing and reduces noise throughout the entire circuit.
The low output impedance helps the amplifier keep control of the speakers. The music appears more stable, and dynamic shifts come with greater precision and control.
Power supply focused on stability
The power supply uses resonant mode technology and delivers power with low noise and high efficiency. When the music demands extra energy, the system automatically adapts and keeps the voltage stable.
This provides a calmer foundation beneath the music and helps maintain control – even under high load.
Noise reduction integrated into the design
P-588 uses 187 active square Tesla coils to reduce electrical noise in the circuit. The coils actively work to neutralize unwanted voltage spikes and interference.
At the same time, analog dither technology and anti aerial resonance coils work to limit both electrical and airborne noise. The result is a darker and more focused sound image.
More openness and better signal reproduction
The third generation of Aavik's analog dither technology helps lower the noise floor and improve signal coherence. This makes small details easier to hear and adds more depth to the soundstage.
The music appears more open, and instruments are positioned more clearly in the room.
Design focused on sound and stability
The cabinet is developed with a focus on resonance control, low inductance, and mechanical stability. The design combines technical function with a simple and distinctive visual expression.
P-588 was developed by Flemming Erik Rasmussen and Michael Børresen and fits naturally into modern high-end systems where both sound and aesthetics matter.
