ADVANCED CLASS D TECHNOLOGY WITH OPTIMIZED MODULATION
The I-288 uses the latest version of Pascal Class D technology with improved UMAC modulation, which provides faster switching, lower noise, and lower output impedance. This ensures precise speaker control and balanced sound reproduction across the entire frequency range. The high power capacity of 2 x 600 watts into 4 ohms enables the amplifier to drive even demanding speakers with full control.
RESONANT MODE POWER SUPPLY WITH LOW-NOISE DELIVERY
The amplifier is equipped with a power-factor-corrected resonant mode power supply that operates with sinusoidal signals for clean, stable, and low-noise energy transfer. When extra power is needed, the frequency is adjusted to increase current density without compromising sound quality. The result is an extremely low noise floor that ensures optimal performance under all load conditions.
FULLY ANALOG CROSSOVER FOR FLEXIBLE SYSTEM INTEGRATION
The integrated crossover system in the I-288 is fully analog and allows fine-tuning of high-pass and low-pass filters. The user can connect subwoofers and relieve monitor speakers of deep bass, optimizing efficiency and reducing distortion. The function also allows integration with external power amplifiers and enables room-acoustic adjustment of problematic frequencies.
OPTICAL VOLUME CONTROL WITH ANALOG PRECISION
The knurled titanium control wheel on the front of the I-288 controls volume via an optical shaft connected to a digital encoder. This design ensures seamless operation and precise adjustment in 76 steps, while preserving the analog signal undisturbed. A permanently illuminated Aavik logo completes the aesthetic expression.
TESLA COIL TECHNOLOGY FOR NOISE-FREE SOUND
The I-288 uses 72 active Tesla coils and as many as 168 active square Tesla coils, placed in the circuit for effective elimination of electrical noise. These coils work with counter-coils to neutralize unwanted voltage spikes and improve signal transparency. The active architecture makes the system up to four times more effective than passive solutions and creates more focused, cleaner music reproduction.
3RD-GENERATION DITHER TECHNOLOGY FOR DEEP MUSICAL CALM
The third generation of Aavik’s analog dither technology is based on pulse-based antiphase signals at carefully selected frequencies. This method lowers the noise floor and increases signal coherence, opening up the soundstage and making even the smallest details in the recording audible with unprecedented precision and musicality.
ANTI AERIAL RESONANCE COILS FOR PROTECTION AGAINST RF CONTAMINATION
Aavik I-288 is equipped with five anti aerial resonance coils that absorb and neutralize RF noise picked up by cables and shielding. These components work according to the principle of counter-wound coils, preventing RF interference from being conducted into the signal path. This provides undisturbed and uncolored reproduction with musicality fully preserved.
DESIGNED FOR PERFORMANCE – AND FOR THE EYE
The design of the I-288 is the result of the collaboration between Flemming Erik Rasmussen and Michael Børresen. Every detail has been carefully considered, from the refined chassis and integrated controls to the choice of materials and the form language. The technical and the aesthetic are united in an expression that both honors Aavik’s heritage and points toward the future.
