Aavik I-288 - Integrated amplifier with high power and advanced noise control
The Aavik I-288 builds on the technology from the top models in the I-x88 series. It combines high power with low noise and gives you a solution where control and musicality go hand in hand. Here you get an integrated amplifier that works precisely and provides the flexibility to keep building your system.
The I-288 is created for systems where the details matter – and where the electronics should work without drawing attention to themselves.
Highlights
- 2 x 300 watts at 8 ohms / 2 x 600 watts at 4 ohms
- Pascal Class D with UMAC modulation
- Resonant mode power supply
- Analog active crossover
- 76-step optical volume control
- 72 active Tesla coils
- 168 active square Tesla coils
- 3rd generation analog dither technology
Power with precision and control
The I-288 delivers high power with calm and stability. The latest Pascal amplification uses improved UMAC modulation, which keeps noise down and gives better control over the speakers.
This gives you a presentation with clear details, fast response, and a soundstage that holds together naturally – even when the music becomes dynamic.
Power supply focused on stability
The power supply uses resonant mode technology and delivers power with very low noise. When the music demands extra energy, the system automatically adapts and keeps the voltage stable.
This creates a calmer foundation beneath the music and helps maintain control, even at high volume levels.
Build the system the way you want
The analog crossover system makes it possible to adjust high-pass and low-pass filters separately. You can integrate subwoofers, relieve the speakers in the low end, and adapt the system to the room.
This provides greater flexibility and makes the I-288 suitable for both classic stereo setups and more advanced systems.
Volume control without affecting the signal
The ribbed titanium wheel on the front controls an optical encoder with 76 precise steps. The audio signal remains analog throughout the entire adjustment range.
This means you can adjust the volume precisely without losing detail or balance in the presentation.
Noise reduction as part of the design
I-288 uses Tesla coils, square Tesla coils, and analog dither technology to reduce electrical noise in the circuit. At the same time, anti aerial resonance coils help limit RF noise from the surroundings.
The result is a darker background, better focus, and a presentation where small details stand out more clearly.
Designed for both sound and aesthetics
The cabinet was developed by Flemming Erik Rasmussen and Michael Børresen. The design combines clean lines with a technical construction where materials and function work closely together.
This gives you an amplifier that feels refined in use and fits naturally into a modern high-end system.
