PERLISTEN X2ic – discreet in-ceiling speaker with wide dispersion

PERLISTEN X2ic is for those who want good sound discreetly integrated into the ceiling – for example as part of a multi-room system or an installation where traditional speakers do not fit naturally into the décor. This 2-way in-ceiling speaker combines PERLISTEN's experience from their S and R series with waveguide technology based on the A series. The result is a solution developed for wide sound dispersion and consistent reproduction both on and off the speaker's axis.

Developed for wide and controlled sound dispersion

X2ic is built as a 2-way Infinite Baffle design with a 38 mm silk dome tweeter placed in a specially developed waveguide. The waveguide controls dispersion both horizontally and vertically, making the X2ic well suited to rooms where the sound needs to cover a larger area.

The low and mid frequencies are handled by a 6.5" woofer/midrange with a carbon fiber cone. Together with the tweeter, the design provides a frequency range of 60 Hz to 30 kHz.

An integrated part of the room

As an in-ceiling speaker, the PERLISTEN X2ic is mounted directly in the ceiling and therefore does not take up floor or shelf space. The included white metal grille can be painted, allowing the speaker to be matched to the ceiling and blend more discreetly into the décor.

X2ic has a sensitivity of 90 dB at 2.83 V/1 m and an impedance of 4 ohms. PERLISTEN recommends amplifier power of 50–200 watts.
