DIDRC – the foundation for pure and natural sound

At the heart of the Onkyo Icon P-80 is the advanced DIDRC technology, Dynamic Intermodulation Distortion Reduction Circuitry. This discrete circuit is designed to reduce high-frequency distortion that often occurs in digital circuits and can make the sound harsh or strained. DIDRC actively works with the signal to recreate a more fluid, analog character, without losing resolution or detail.

The technology is used in both the DAC's analog filter and phono section, ensuring a consistent, natural sound regardless of the source. The result is sound that is both clear and comfortable, even during long listening sessions.

Dirac Live – high-level room correction

One of the most notable features of the Onkyo Icon P-80 is the built-in Dirac Live Room Correction Suite in stereo. The standard version works in the critical bass range, while a full license can extend the correction to the entire frequency spectrum.
