Dynaudio Emit 50 – deep bass with plenty of headroom

Emit 50 is equipped with two 18 cm woofers based on technologies from Dynaudio's more expensive Evoke, Contour i, and Confidence series. They are developed to deliver deep and powerful bass while allowing the speaker to fit naturally into a typical living room.

The woofers use Dynaudio's own MSP cone (Magnesium Silicate Polymer), which is made in one piece with an integrated dust cap. The design provides good control over the cone's movements and contributes to precise bass reproduction.

With copper voice coils, a dual magnet system, and bass response down to 33 Hz (-3 dB), Emit 50 has the capacity for both deep bass notes and large dynamic bursts.

Dedicated midrange for natural vocals and instruments

One of the major advantages of Emit 50 is the separate 15 cm midrange driver, which is developed specifically for the model with inspiration from Dynaudio's Evoke and Contour series.

The driver uses a powerful ferrite magnet, a 38 mm aluminum voice coil, and a lightweight suspension optimized for fast and precise movements.

This creates excellent conditions for the natural reproduction of vocals, acoustic instruments, and the many details found in the midrange. At the same time, the driver is freed from handling the deepest frequencies and can focus on the area where much of the music's character is found.

Cerotar tweeter with Hexis technology

Emit 50 uses Dynaudio's 28 mm Cerotar soft-dome tweeter, which is also found in the more expensive Evoke series. It is built on experience from, among others, Special Forty, Confidence, and Dynaudio's professional Core monitors.

Behind the coated fabric diaphragm is Dynaudio's Hexis technology. A specially developed inner dome that reduces unwanted resonances and reflections behind the tweeter diaphragm.

The result is a smooth frequency response and a clean, detailed treble. This is especially interesting if you enjoy long listening sessions where the music should be detailed without becoming sharp or fatiguing.

Advanced crossover creates coherence in the sound

Dynaudio has developed a special hybrid crossover for Emit 50, where each driver uses the filter design that best suits its operating range.

The tweeter uses a first-order filter, the midrange a second-order filter, and the woofers a fourth-order filter.

This makes it possible to optimize the transition between the drivers with a focus on natural and coherent sound reproduction.

For you, this means the music is presented as a whole, with bass, midrange, and treble working together.

Danish development and timeless design

Emit 50 is developed and fine-tuned by Dynaudio in Denmark, where the speakers undergo extensive measurements in the company's Jupiter measurement facility, among other things.

The cabinet is made of 18 mm MDF and damped with specially selected polyester material to reduce unwanted resonances.

The design is simple and Scandinavian with clean lines and three different finishes: Black, White, and Walnut. The included magnetic front grilles make it easy to choose between a discreet look and a more technical appearance with visible speaker drivers.

Emit 50 can also be part of a complete Emit home theater system together with the other speakers in the series.
