Cambridge Audio L/R M – a complete stereo system built right into the speakers

Cambridge Audio L/R M packs a serious stereo system into two compact, active speakers. You get 2 x 150 watts of amplification, StreamMagic Gen 4, HDMI eARC, and a built-in MM phono input, so streaming, TV, and a turntable can be connected directly.

At the same time, L/R M goes further than traditional active speakers. With network streaming, room optimization, and plenty of connection options, you get a flexible system without the need for a separate amplifier and streamer.

From streaming to vinyl without extra boxes

StreamMagic Gen 4 gives you access to Spotify Connect, TIDAL, Qobuz, and Amazon Music, among others. You can also stream via AirPlay 2 and Google Cast, while the system is Roon Ready.

A turntable with an MM cartridge can be connected directly to the phono input, and the TV connects via HDMI eARC. This allows L/R M to bring together music, vinyl, and TV sound in one stereo system without a separate amplifier or streamer.

300 watts and bass from compact cabinets

Each channel has 150 watts of amplification and combines a specially developed 28 mm tweeter with a 4" woofer/midrange driver. In addition, 4.75" passive radiators extend the low-end response without the need for larger cabinets.

The result is a lot of functionality in a relatively small space and fewer separate components in the living room.

Adapt the sound to the room

The built-in 64-bit DSP lets you tailor the sound. DynamEQ adjusts the frequency balance according to volume level, while Room Optimisation takes the speakers' placement and the surrounding room into account.

In the StreamMagic app, you can choose between Normal, Movie, and Voice depending on whether you're listening to music, watching films, or want to emphasize dialogue.

The speakers are connected with the included 5-meter USB-C speaker-link cable. The cable cannot be extended, so it is worth taking into account when placing the speakers.

Designed as part of the home

With dimensions of 158 × 263 × 190 mm per speaker, L/R M takes up relatively little space. At the same time, the floating base and discreet LED lighting give the system a different look from traditional compact hi-fi speakers.

Multiple finishes make it possible to match the look to your interior. L/R M is therefore an obvious choice if you want to combine streaming, TV, vinyl, and stereo in a single system with fewer components.
