Rega ND7 - Exclusive MM pickup with large and precise sound image

The Rega Nd7 is not just a Moving Magnet pickup – it is a quantum leap in MM technology. Equipped with an N55 Neodymium magnet, the most powerful of its kind, the Nd7 breaks with convention. The magnet is strategically placed at the back of the stylus tube and allows Rega to develop an advanced generator with approximately 30% fewer turns than on the already acclaimed Exact pickup. The result? Less induction and resistance, giving an unrivaled output in the highest frequencies.

Every detail of the Nd7 has been meticulously designed with extreme precision. The coils and pole pieces in the pickup housing are positioned with an accuracy of one thousandth of a millimeter. With this extreme precision, Rega eliminates the need for time-consuming manual adjustments and ensures perfect channel balance and a wider, more precise soundstage. Here you get a sound reproduction that is so dynamic and detailed that it rivals high-end Moving Coil pickups.

Advanced "Fine Line" Nude Diamond Profile

At the heart of the Rega Nd7's performance is the advanced "fine line" nude diamond profile. This profile uses a monocrystalline diamond with extremely small radii, enabling it to capture even the smallest changes in the vinyl. With a smaller radius of just 3µm at the top and 30µm vertically, this diamond profile ensures precise and detailed sound reproduction. The same diamond profile is used in Rega's high-end MC models, the Apheta 3 and Aphelion 2, attesting to its superior performance.

Perfect channel balance for authentic sound reproduction

The Rega Nd7 is designed with a completely new generator geometry, ensuring perfect symmetry and precise channel balance. This enables the pickup to reproduce the sound image with a wider and more spacious soundstage than previous models. At the same time, the Nd7 is equipped with an optimized pole gap, which improves linearity and reduces crosstalk, giving you a more accurate and natural sound experience.

Unique generator design with improved frequency response

The Nd7 introduces a unique generator system with miniaturized parallel coils, internally wound with 38-micron wire and consisting of precisely 1275 turns. This design reduces both inductance and impedance, resulting in a significantly improved high-frequency response. This means that the Nd7 not only reproduces the low notes with precision, but also the highest frequencies with a clarity that is hard to beat.

Incredibly rigid construction in lightweight material

To ensure the best possible performance, Rega has constructed the Nd7 with a rigid, lightweight PPS body. The material combines light weight with high rigidity, reducing unwanted vibrations and resonances. Together with the well-known Rega 3-point mounting system, this construction ensures a precise and stable mounting on the turntable, further improving sound quality.
