Advanced technology from Perlisten's flagship

The R-Series builds directly on technology from Perlisten's award-winning D-Series. At the heart of the R18is is an 18” driver with a glass fiber composite diaphragm, developed from the ground up by Perlisten's engineers. The combination of massive magnets, multi-layer Nomex spider, lightweight aluminum voice coil and multiple aluminum shorting rings ensures low distortion and lightning-fast response.

Each component is fine-tuned through advanced simulation and Klippel laser analysis to optimize performance in both free-field and built-in modes, resulting in bass reproduction that combines power and precision at a level normally only found in reference-class free-standing subwoofers.

Intelligent amplification and digital control

The included external amplifier delivers 1,500 watts RMS and drives the subwoofer with complete control. An advanced 48-bit DSP with 32-bit ARM Cortex M4 processor monitors and corrects the signal in real time, ensuring accurate reproduction regardless of sound pressure.

The user has full control via the 2.8” color touchscreen on the amplifier or via Perlisten’s app for iOS and Android. Here you can easily adjust EQ, phase and low-pass filter, create your own user profiles and save them for different listening conditions.

Adaptation to the room

With three EQ profiles – THX, Boost and Cut – the R18is can be fine-tuned for both small and large rooms. The built-in 10-band parametric filters further allow for precise calibration, ensuring the subwoofer always delivers deep, harmonious bass that integrates perfectly with the rest of the system.

The R18is is not only powerful, but also intelligent. The combination of digital signal management, high power and advanced acoustic design enables it to reproduce even the lowest frequencies with a calmness and definition normally only found in much larger designs.
