The Stage 220P uses a dual rear-vented reflex port to improve airflow from the cabinet. Instead, JBL has ensured that air can flow more freely and smoothly out of the cabinet, reducing distortion and improving bass precision. 12" Polycellulose Ribbed Bass

Each Stage 2 Series speaker features Polycellulose ribbed cone woofers. Dual rear-facing reflex ports

The 220P's Bass-Reflex design uses dual rear-firing reflex ports. This design reduces the velocity of the air as it leaves the subwoofer, eliminating any noise or coloration of the output and ensuring clear, powerful bass.

Easy integration with your receiver

The rear-mounted controls include a variable low-pass 50-150Hz crossover, so you can precisely tune the subwoofer to match your main channels. Of course, you can also adjust the phase and volume, so you can tailor the subwoofer's output to your system and room conditions.

The power can be set to always on or to the convenient Auto function, which automatically turns the subwoofer on and off depending on whether an input signal is detected. The LFE input bypasses the subwoofer's internal low-pass filter and is ideal when the subwoofer is connected to a receiver processor with its own low-pass filter settings.

Stable and adjustable spikes

The 220P's floor spikes ensure stability when placing the subwoofer on thick carpet. The carpet spikes can be easily screwed into each foot of the speaker's base and adjusted from the top for optimal placement and performance.
