ADVANCED TECHNOLOGY, TAILORED TO SOUND

Confidence 60 is built around Dynaudio’s DDC (Dynaudio Directivity Control) technology. This technology focuses sound into a vertical “beam” that minimizes reflections from the floor and ceiling, while maintaining a wide and natural horizontal dispersion. This creates a larger and more precise sweet spot where more people can listen and experience the same quality.

At the heart of this technology is the integrated DDC Lens – a precision-milled aluminium waveguide that is closely matched to the other drivers. Together with the speaker’s curved baffle, it shapes the sound so that it is directed directly at the listener and not lost in the room.

TREBLE, MIDRANGE AND BASS – EACH DRIVER WITH ITS OWN PURPOSE

The tweeter is the well-known Esotar3 – a 28 mm soft-dome tweeter with a built-in Hexis inner dome. The Hexis controls resonances and ensures that only the desired frequencies pass through. This provides a detailed and calm reproduction, even at high volumes.

The midrange drivers feature Horizon Surround, a newly developed mounting design that follows the cone shape all the way to the edge. This increases the active surface area and improves both dynamics and clarity in the vocal range. They lie flush with the front baffle to reduce diffraction and improve integration with the tweeter.

The bass units – two 23 cm NeoTec MSP woofers – are designed to handle high power with precision. The voice coils are made of copper for extra mass and control, and they are driven by powerful neodymium magnets. To optimize airflow, the magnet structure is milled with precise openings that improve response and reduce compression.

NO DETAIL IS OVERLOOKED

Even components you can't see play a role. The baffle is constructed from Compex composite material, which is lightweight and stiff while dampening unwanted vibrations. It is decoupled from the cabinet with special sealing materials that prevent energy transfer and preserve signal purity.

The driver curves are optimized via topology simulations, resulting in lightweight yet stable structures that do not restrict airflow behind the diaphragms. All of this contributes to lower distortion and faster response.

The Confidence 60 cabinets are hand-built in Denmark and manufactured to furniture quality.
