The latest version of the SignatureX Tuned ARAY Analogue XLR is enhanced with XLPE (cross-linked polyethylene) insulation, a material that has already achieved excellent results and wide acclaim for SignatureXL speaker and power cables. The cable uses separately shielded, silver-plated oxygen-free copper conductors with Tuned ARAY conductor geometry, ensuring optimal signal transfer and minimal interference. The XLPE insulation combined with a double-layer high-density braid shield effectively handles very high frequencies, resulting in clear and detailed sound reproduction.

Unique triple conductor configuration

In many balanced XLR cables, two signal conductors are used to carry the hot (in-phase) and cold (out-of-phase) signals, while the ground/return connection is made via the shield. Chord believes there is a better way, and so adds a third identical conductor to carry the ground/return signal. This removes the shield from the circuit, significantly reducing unwanted interference. All of our analog XLR cables are constructed in this way, ensuring a neutral and musically transparent connection.
