Audiovector Trapeze Ri - now in limited edition
In 1979, Ole Klifoth set a milestone with the launch of the Trapeze. The iconic speaker became the foundation of Audiovector’s entire legacy, focusing on linear dynamics and phase via its 6 dB per octave crossover, which was groundbreaking for its time. Now, 45 years later, Audiovector presents the Trapeze Reimagined, which pays homage to the legacy and brings it into the present with the best and most innovative technology available. The Trapeze Ri is also launched exclusively in two limited edition finishes: Canadian Birds Eye Maple Matte and Italian Walnut Burl Piano.
Trapeze Ri is more than just a speaker. It is a symbol of Audiovector's passion, innovation and love for music. With its elegant design and advanced technologies, it is a true gem in any audio enthusiast's collection.
A speaker in perfect harmony
Trapeze Ri is a 3-way floorstanding speaker equipped with a proprietary 12” woofer/midrange, a high-resolution 5” midrange, and the only AMT tweeter on the market, honoring the original design from audio luminary Dr. Oscar Heil.
The three units work in perfect harmony to deliver a smooth and powerful sound experience with a flat frequency response that matches the legendary Brûel & Kjaer ideal room response. Thanks to an area of diffraction-absorbing felt around the tweeter and midrange unit, an exceptionally natural soundstage is created that almost brings you back to the experience of a live concert.
Trapeze Ri is not just a speaker, it is a portal to the world of music. With its low frequency tuning, it adds weight and depth to any genre, and the extremely low distortion ensures a pure and dynamic sound reproduction. This means it is able to capture the essence of music in a way that feels both authentic and enchanting.
A cabinet construction in a class of its own
Trapeze Reimagined leaves an impression that goes far beyond the sound, representing timeless Danish design that never goes out of style. With its angle towards the listener, the speaker remains parallel to the rear wall, adding a subtle touch of timeless elegance to any room. The cabinet is hand-veneered for an uncompromising fit and finish and generously braced for low distortion and coloration.
A cabinet's internal standing waves are one of the biggest obstacles to perfect sound, as they introduce distortion and energy loss. The original Trapeze pioneered the principle of no standing waves, with its iconic skewed cabinet that creates perfect conditions for drivers.
The result of 45 years of loudspeaker development
One of the biggest advantages of Audiovector's speakers is that they are all based on the principles of their reference model - the R11 for 1,500,000 DKK. The reference model uses more than 20 principles, all of which can be found to varying degrees in Audiovector's other models. This ensures that there is a common thread in all Audiovector speakers, and they have the very special Audiovector sound. In Trapeze Ri you will find technologies such as Low Compression, Soundstage Enhancement, No Energy System and Individual Upgrade Concept. These are innovative technologies that mean that the speaker is future-proof and delivers fantastic sound.
Double mechanical decoupling
Trapeze Reimagined features a solid 2-ply aluminum plinth that features built-in decoupling using carbon steel ball bearings and elegantly designed Audiovector spikes. This sophisticated construction reduces distortion, optimizes the interaction between the speaker and the floor, and delivers a clean, precise sound reproduction that gives the listener an experience of true musicality.
Damping factor adjustment
Every amplifier is different, which is why Audiovector has developed a unique feature called DFA (Damping Factor Adjustment). This allows you to adjust the speaker to the amplifier's damping factor, so you get the optimal sound experience regardless of the listening conditions. This makes it easy to adapt to integrated amplifiers, powerful power amplifiers and tube amplifiers.
Low Compression Concept
LCC is another technology that ensures that the diaphragms on the speakers can move freely under all kinds of demanding conditions. This means that your Audiovector speakers will always be true to the signal they receive – no matter how loud and complex the material.
Soundstage Enhancement Concept
SEC is a third technology that allows you to choose where you want to be when listening to music. This ensures that the soundstage remains intact no matter where you are in the room. The sound fills the room in an incredible way and gives the listener a realistic “live sound” experience.
No Energy System
Trapeze Ri also features No Energy System (NES) technology, which allows the units to sound their best without having to “carry” the weight of the speaker cabinet they are attached to. This increases transient response and contributes to an even greater degree of realism and openness in the soundstage.
