Isobaric Compound Bass - Precise, detailed and deep bass

One of the most impressive features of the R6 Arreté is the innovative Isobaric Compound Bass (ICB) technology. This advanced bass system consists of two hand-built bass units - a 6.5" internal woofer and an 8" external down-firing woofer, which are coupled together using an internal cabinet. This creates a more controlled and precise bass response, while minimizing distortion and inefficiency. The external down-firing woofer ensures that the bass is evenly dispersed throughout the room, creating a comprehensive and rich sound experience. Together with the internal woofer, the ICB system delivers a deep and powerful bass response that is well-balanced and does not overshadow the other frequency ranges.

Voice coils completely free of distortion

Audiovector also uses titanium in their voice coils, which is a far superior material to the aluminum used in most speakers. The use of titanium allows for precise and fast sound reproduction while achieving high efficiency with low distortion. This is because titanium is completely free of hysteresis, which is a type of delay-related distortion, whereas aluminum is not. It will always cause hysteresis distortion.

The world's fastest tweeter

The R6 Arreté is equipped with an "R AMT Arreté" tweeter, specially designed by Audiovector to deliver a fantastic high frequency performance. The tweeter has an impressive speed and detail in the treble range. In fact, the tweeter is the world's fastest, and together with its wide dispersion you get a sound experience that is incredibly precise and holographic. The soundstage gets a width, depth, height, detail and naturalness that is nothing short of eminent.

3" rear-firing midrange for a large and realistic soundstage

To ensure a coherent and homogeneous sound reproduction, the R6 Arreté also has a 3" midrange that sends the sound to the rear. This creates a large and open soundstage, while ensuring that the midrange area is well-balanced and detailed. The technology is inspired by Audiovector's R8 Arreté, and it helps to make the sound more realistic and three-dimensional. In other words, with the R6 Arreté you get many of the technologies from the much more expensive models - just at a more affordable price.

A future-proof and high-tech speaker

One of the biggest advantages of Audiovector's speakers is that they are all based on the principles of their reference model - the R11 for 1,500,000 DKK. The reference model uses more than 20 principles, all of which can be found to varying degrees in Audiovector's other models. This ensures that there is a common thread in all Audiovector speakers, and they have the very special Audiovector sound. In the R6 Arreté you will find technologies such as Low Compression, Soundstage Enhancement, No Energy System and Individual Upgrade Concept. Low Compression Concept

LCC is another technology that ensures that the speaker diaphragms can move freely under all kinds of demanding conditions. This means that your Audiovector speakers will always be true to the signal they receive – no matter how loud and complex the material.

Soundstage Enhancement Concept

SEC is a third technology that allows you to choose where you want to be when listening to music. This ensures that the soundstage remains intact no matter where you are in the room. The sound fills the room in an incredible way and gives the listener a realistic “live sound” experience.

No Energy System

Finally, the R6 Arreté uses No Energy System (NES) technology, which allows the units to sound their best without having to “carry” the weight of the speaker cabinet to which they are attached. This increases transient response and contributes to an even greater degree of realism and openness in the soundstage.

A cabinet construction in a class of its own

The R6 Arreté features a unique cabinet construction, which is a key factor in the exceptional sound quality the speaker is capable of delivering. The cabinets are assembled with thick non-resonant vacuum-printed materials and are constructed with high-density fiberboard (HDF) to ensure the best possible strength and minimal resonance.

Another advantage of the R6 Arreté cabinet is its teardrop shape, which is further reinforced with a strong and heavy back plate. This reduces unwanted cabinet resonances and avoids standing waves that can distort the sound.

The cabinets are further reinforced with internal beams and carefully placed Nano Pore damping plates. These are strategically placed to minimize unwanted resonances, and in addition, they help to provide the clear, nuanced and precise sound reproduction that reviewers are so enthusiastic about.
