PURE CLASS A AMPLIFIER TECHNOLOGY WITH SHORT SIGNAL PATH
The P-880 is a pure Class A amplifier that delivers 2 x 200 watts into 8 ohms without leaving Class A operation. The amplifier circuitry constantly maintains the voltage gradient 0.63 V above the required current level, ensuring that the bias never drops below the desired level during the cycle. This enables pure Class A operation without unnecessary energy consumption. The power supply is distributed directly at each of the eight transistor pairs, creating an ultra-short signal path, reduced noise and increased efficiency.
RESONANT MODE POWER SUPPLY WITH MASSIVE POWER RESERVE
The P-880 uses four independent 500 watt power factor corrected resonant mode power supplies that operate on sine waves instead of square waves. At high loads, the frequency increases, enabling high current density and peak loads up to over 80 amps. The extremely low-noise regulators operate with voltage levels down to the micro and nanovolt range. This advanced approach ensures ultra-low noise and full control over dynamic fluctuations.
ACTIVE TESLA COIL TECHNOLOGY – EFFECTIVE NOISE REDUCTION
The P-880 is equipped with active Tesla coils, which operate at low impedance to eliminate voltage spikes and electrical noise. When noise spikes occur, the built-in counter-coils generate a precise counter-signal that neutralizes the interference. The active coils are three to four times more efficient than passive variants and improve the black background, clarity and dynamics of the sound.
ANALOG DITHER TECHNOLOGY – 3RD GENERATION WITH MAXIMUM DETAIL REPRODUCTION
The advanced dither technology is now in its third generation and is based on the principles of radar technology. Through precisely anti-phase tuned frequencies, the noise level is significantly reduced and the microdynamics are improved. The result is an open and natural soundstage, where even the finest nuances in the music come through clearly.
ANTI AERIAL RESONANCE COILS WITH ZIRCONIUM UPGRADE
To neutralize RF noise from cables and the environment, the P-880 uses both passive and active anti aerial resonance coils. The active versions, including the new zirconium-based technology, implement zirconium rods in the coils to ensure exceptional resonance control. This technology provides unprecedented purity, precision and calmness in reproduction, supporting a natural and open soundstage.
OPTIMAL SIGNAL MANAGEMENT WITH SWITCHLESS GAIN SELECTION
The P-880 uses LDR (Light Dependent Resistor)-based optical gain selection that eliminates noise from traditional relays and MOS-FET switches. This provides ultra-low-noise signal control and preserves the finest details of the sound without coloration.
CABINET CONSTRUCTION WITH COPPER, TITANIUM AND LAMINATE
The design was created by Flemming Erik Rasmussen and optimized for sound. The solid copper cabinet with sandwich construction consisting of copper, heavy compact laminate and titanium provides extreme resonance damping and low inductance. The combination of materials and shapes minimizes hysteresis, reduces heat generation and significantly improves the damping factor. The result is a sound that radiates energy, power and authenticity.

Flemming Erik Rasmussen's sculptural design with cooling elements and titanium-clad volume wheel is both visually striking and technically refined.
